FAQ and Support
Check out the Startup Program FAQ and other support content to learn how to apply and use your cloud credits.
Application
How do I apply?
To apply, please fill out the web inquiry form in the Startup Program section of the OVHcloud US website: https://us.ovhcloud.com/startup-program/
Can I apply if I don't have an OVHcloud account yet?
Yes, you can submit an application before creating an account. You can create an OVHcloud US account at any time on our website.
How do I decide between the START or SCALE level?
If you are an early-stage startup with a cloud monthly spend in the hundreds of dollars, you are likely eligible for the START level. If you have closed a series A funding round and have a cloud monthly spend in the thousands of dollars, you are eligible for the SCALE level. OVHcloud ultimately decides the appropriate tier.
Eligibility Criteria
Can I apply if I'm in another cloud provider's startup program?
Yes, OVHcloud's Startup Program does not impose exclusivity. This allows you to test and compare our solutions alongside other cloud providers.
Can I join if I'm already an OVHcloud Startup Program member in another country?
No, only one membership is allowed, generally in the country where your company is incorporated or intends to operate.
Is my startup eligible for the $120,000 vouchers at the SCALE level?
OVHcloud decides tier selection between START and SCALE. Startups may be upgraded from START to SCALE if experiencing rapid market traction.
What are the eligibility criteria?
We support innovative, technical startup projects with growth potential that have at least a proof of concept or minimum viable product (MVP) that can be implemented on our cloud. Projects must be linked to a startup - we do not support NGOs, cryptocurrency mining, agencies, e-commerce sites, or companies already in our Startup Program.
How can I improve my chances of being admitted?
Your likelihood of admission increases if your project is available online or you can provide a demo, you have a functional website explaining your MVP (Minimum Viable Product), you are part of an incubator or accelerator, you provide a detailed solution outline and business model, you can explain how OVHcloud can support your business, and you have already raised funds.
Application Status
How long until I hear if my application is accepted?
Once submitted, our team will let you know if your application has been accepted or declined within 7 days.
Why might my application be declined?
Common reasons include false/incomplete information, not meeting eligibility criteria, previous participation in our Startup Program, engaging in contentious activities like cryptocurrency mining, or being too early-stage. Some applications may be better suited for our Partner Program.

How long does the Startup Program last?
Membership lasts 12 months maximum for both START and SCALE tiers, beginning once both parties sign the agreement.
Can I use vouchers for products ordered before joining?
Yes, vouchers can be used for existing public cloud services, as long as you have sufficient credits remaining on your account.

What happens when the program ends?
Around month 10, we'll discuss your future plans. After 12 months, we’ll transition you to an account manager as a program alumnus with continued support access. The remaining credits are removed and you become responsible for full payment.
