Is Nutanix on OVHcloud a managed or pre-installed solution?
Nutanix on OVHcloud is a pre-installed solution.
It combines the Nutanix Cloud Platform™ (NPC) licenses either as a packaged service (Starter, Pro, and Ultimate) or as a BYOL (Bring Your Own License) service to ensure the portability of your licenses while providing you with dedicated Nutanix-qualified OVHcloud infrastructures. Get started quickly with a ready-to-use Nutanix cluster.
What are the differences between the packs and the BYOL solution?
The Nutanix on OVHcloud pack is an integrated solution combining NCP software and licenses (included and activated in the Starter, Pro, or Ultimate Packs) with Nutanix-qualified dedicated servers.
The Nutanix on OVHcloud BYOL (Bring Your Own License) solution is also an integrated solution that combines NCP software with dedicated, Nutanix-qualified dedicated servers while enabling you to bring existing Nutanix licenses to OVHcloud. In this solution, you benefit from NCP software features once you have registered your Nutanix licenses in Prism Central™.
What are the differences between the Starter, Pro, and Ultimate packs offered with the Nutanix® on OVHcloud packaged service?
The Starter Pack includes NCP Starter Pack licenses: Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure™ (NCI) Pro and Nutanix Cloud Manager™ (NCM) Pro licenses.
The Pro Pack includes the NCP Pro Pack licenses: Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure™ (NCI) Ultimate and Nutanix Cloud Manager™ (NCM) Pro licenses.
The Ultimate Pack includes the NCP Ultimate Pack licenses: Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure™ (NCI) Ultimate and Nutanix Cloud Manager™ (NCM) Ultimate licenses.

What are the main use cases for Nutanix on OVHcloud?

Can I connect an existing Nutanix cluster to OVHcloud solutions?
Yes. Existing Nutanix clusters can connect and interact with OVHcloud solutions.
To establish an optimal connection, a network connection via VPN or OVHcloud Connect is required.
Additionally, multi-site licenses are required for both the initial and target clusters. This license is included with the Nutanix AOS Ultimate license.
Can I connect other OVHcloud services to Nutanix on OVHcloud clusters (Bare Metal Cloud, Public Cloud, etc.)?
Yes. Nutanix on OVHcloud clusters are natively connected via the OVHcloud private network, called vRack, enabling communication between OVHcloud services via the private or public network, depending on your network configurations.
Can I use OVHcloud’s private network (vRack)?
Out-of-the-box, Nutanix on OVHcloud clusters are connected to our private network vRack. The connection is made when the cluster is set up and attached to your account.
Clusters can be reconfigured if changes to vRack are necessary.
