You get a highly available dedicated server, with a double connection. This means you avoid any potential service interruptions linked to one of the two network links going down.
Very high bandwidth
By setting the function to nominal and enabling the OLA feature, your bandwidth will be doubled. By default, you will have two 2Gbps links on the vRack private network.
Enabling the OLA feature automatically isolates your dedicated server from the public network, meaning that it cannot be accessed publicly via the internet.
How does it work?
Once you have enabled this feature on your server, you can group your two network links (public and private) into a single link. You automatically get a redundant virtual private link that is very high-frequency. Your server will also be completely isolated from the public network, blocking any attempts to connect via the internet as a result. By setting the function to nominal, you can use the two network links to transfer your data between servers. If one of the two links goes down, traffic is automatically redirected to the working link without any service interruptions. This means that your users won’t experience any downtime.
