IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
Each server has a public IPv4 address and an IPv6 address range. As an option, you can rent additional IPv4 addresses for your dedicated server (up to 256 per machine).
To provide maximum security for your infrastructure DDoS protection is included with your OVHcloud dedicated servers. It ensures the continuity of service of your applications in case of attack.
Your server has a default minimum public bandwidth of 1Gbps. Incoming and outgoing traffic is unlimited and free.
Many distributions are offered for automatic installation via the OVHcloud Control Panel. This includes various operating systems (Windows® Server, Debian, Ubuntu or CentOS), Plesk and cPanel Web management interfaces, and Microsoft® SQL Server for databases. Virtualization solutions, like VMware®, CoreOS and Windows® Hyper-V, are also available.
When ordering your dedicated server, you have the option of customizing its storage capacity with a wide range of drives.
IPMI and KVM on IP
The IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) console, accessible from the OVHcloud Control Panel or API, provides you with a direct connection to your dedicated server. If your server becomes unavailable for any reason, you can keep control of it via its public IP address. This administration system also allows you to monitor the hardware components of your server.
Two display methods are available: the Internet browser (HTML 5) or the Java applet.
Service Level Agreement — 99.99%
All of the servers in this range have a 99.99% SLA, ensuring the best availability for your business applications.
OVHcloud Link Aggregation
OVHcloud Link Aggregation (OLA) technology is designed by our teams to increase your server’s availability and boost the efficiency of your network connections. In just a few clicks, you can aggregate your network cards and make your network links redundant. This means that if one link goes down, traffic is automatically redirected to another available link.
vRack private network - 10Gbps - guaranteed and unlimited
Your server is delivered with our private physical network — vRack. This means you can create your own cluster, or include your server in an existing infrastructure. It is fully isolated from the internet, and delivered at no extra cost.
Dual power supply (2xPSU)
Power supply is one of the key components of ensuring an infrastructure’s availability. Depending on how critical your project is, a dual power supply is an important aspect of avoiding any downtime. Service interruptions can prove costly in terms of both business and brand image.
Hot swap disks
The hot swap feature can be used to change or add disks without service interruptions, which ensures constant uptime for your services.
Assistance and support
By hosting your servers from OVHcloud, you benefit from technical support via chat available Monday-Friday from 8am-8pm ET. In addition, a range of guides and an online Help Center is available to assist you during the installation and administration of your services.
