Public Cloud: Our prices and packaging are changing

Our Public Cloud instance prices and packaging are changing on October 1, 2026. If you maintain your existing configuration, the increase ranges from 1.4% to 21.9% depending on the size. 

This does not affect the price of compute instances, which remains unchanged, but does affect two resources previously included in our instances: local storage and the public IPv4 address, which will be billed separately.

The new model 

The essential [points of the new model are summarized here: 

• The hourly price of instances does not change. It is identical before and after October 1, 2026, across all ranges. 
• Local storage and the public IPv4 address, previously included in the price of Generation 3 instances (B3, C3, R3), become two separate billing lines. Local storage becomes a storage class of its own in the process and billed at $0.0001721 per GB per hour. 
• Public IPv4 address becomes a separately billed, optional resource on every instance range, including Generation 2 (B2, C2, R2) and earlier, and on the Gateway. Local storage unbundling applies to Generation 3 only. 
• The Savings Plans grid is simplified: two durations, 12 and 36 months, at -15% and -30%, applied to compute.
