Hosted Private Cloud
Managed VMware and Nutanix infrastructure. Fully dedicated. $0 egress.
Scale your IT infrastructure in the cloud using the VMware or Nutanix environments you already know, with better price-performance, no retraining, no hidden costs, and no vendor lock-in on dedicated infrastructure.
Introduction to Hosted Private Cloud
Hosted Private Cloud is a fully dedicated, single-tenant cloud environment that combines the control of on-prem infrastructure with the flexibility of cloud. Run VMware or Nutanix workloads with consistent performance, predictable costs, and full control over resources. With built-in private networking (vRack), anti-DDoS protection, and no egress charges, OVHcloud simplifies infrastructure while reducing hidden costs. Integrated support for backup and disaster recovery helps ensure resilience and business continuity.
Accelerate cloud modernization
Move existing applications to cloud infrastructure without refactoring to reduce risk while improving agility and operations.
Scale on demand
Add capacity on demand without procuring or installing new hardware, enabling faster growth and adapting to evolving workloads.
Reduce infrastructure costs
Eliminate hardware refresh cycles and CapEx while lowering total cost of ownership with an excellent performance-price ratio.
Use Cases
Move to cloud
Move to cloud with confidence (data center migration)
Migrate existing workloads from on-prem to a hosted private cloud without refactoring. Maintain familiar virtualization architectures while reducing risk, accelerating timelines, and eliminating the need to manage physical infrastructure.
Extend to cloud
Extend your on-prem environment into the cloud
Expand your environment beyond on-prem with on-demand cloud capacity. Support new workloads, scale resources as needed, and maintain consistent performance and operations across environments.
Protect your cloud
Protect workloads and drive business continuity
Replace costly secondary data centers with a cloud-based disaster recovery solution. Improve recovery times, reduce infrastructure overhead, and drive business continuity with scalable, secure backup and failover capabilities.

Hosted Private Cloud FAQs
How does OVHcloud Private Cloud pricing compare to AWS or Azure Stack?
One of the biggest pricing advantages with OVHcloud comes from data transfer. Unlike AWS VMware Cloud (VMC) and Azure VMware Solution (AVS), which charge per GB for data egress, OVHcloud includes free and unlimited data transfer by default. For VMware environments with frequent workload movement, backups, or disaster recovery, this can eliminate a major and often unpredictable cost driver.
Beyond data transfer, OVHcloud uses a predictable monthly pricing model with a fixed price per host or pack, making costs easy to forecast from day one. In contrast, AWS VMC and Azure AVS rely on hourly or consumption-based pricing with more complex tiering. While both offer 1- or 3-year reserved options, overall costs can still fluctuate depending on usage patterns.
Licensing is also more straightforward with OVHcloud, as it’s included directly in the host price. AWS and Azure bundle VMware licensing as well, but their higher underlying infrastructure costs typically result in a higher total cost of ownership.
Overall, OVHcloud delivers better cost predictability with no long-term commitment required, while AWS VMC tends to offer lower predictability and Azure AVS sits in the middle, often requiring longer-term commitments to achieve cost efficiency.
What are the egress fees for moving data?
$0. OVHcloud does not charge for data egress on its Hosted Private Cloud — including transfers to the public internet or other cloud providers. Unlike hyperscalers that charge per gigabyte for outbound data, OVHcloud includes unlimited, unmetered bandwidth in its fixed monthly pricing, practically limited only by your cluster's public link speed (typically 10Gbps).
How does OVHcloud support hybrid cloud integration with existing on-premise VMware or Nutanix environments?
OVHcloud supports hybrid integration by extending your existing VMware or Nutanix environment into OVHcloud without re-architecture. OVHcloud Connect, available through direct or provider options, enables secure connectivity between on-premise environments and OVHcloud, supported by flexible, symmetric bandwidth ranging from 200 Mbps up to 100 Gbps to scale with workload demands. Networking is powered by vRack, OVHcloud’s global private Layer 2 and Layer 3 network, helping ensure consistent, low-latency communication and maintaining existing IP addressing.
Workloads can be migrated with minimal downtime using familiar tools, while teams continue operating in VMware vCenter or Nutanix Prism with no retraining required. Customers can choose between Managed VMware vSphere or Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) as their licensing model, and leverage industry-standard solutions such as Veeam Backup, Zerto Disaster Recovery, or Nutanix Move to support migration and disaster recovery. Dedicated infrastructure ensures predictable performance, and with zero egress fees, data can move freely between environments without added cost constraints.
Is OVHcloud Hosted Private Cloud physically isolated for compliance?
Yes. Every OVHcloud Hosted Private Cloud environment is a physically isolated, single-tenant solution. Your data and workloads sit on 100% dedicated bare metal hardware, never on a shared hypervisor. This single-tenant architecture supports strict regulatory requirements for HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2 Type II, ensuring maximum security and audit-readiness for US enterprises.
Where are OVHcloud’s private cloud data centers located in the US?
OVHcloud operates two data centers strategically located to serve the United States: Vint Hill, Virginia (US East) and Hillsboro, Oregon (US West). These locations provide geo-redundancy, low-latency connectivity across North America, and ensure that all data remains within US borders to satisfy data sovereignty mandates.
