What access to OVHcloud Object Storage does the Service Level Agreement (SLA) guarantee?
The SLA guarantees 99.9% monthly availability for accessing the Object Storage service. For further information, please refer to the Public Cloud Service Level Agreement.
How do I access and/or manipulate data on Object Storage?
There are several ways of manipulating the data stored on Object Storage. You can integrate management directly into your application using CLI, SDK, or S3*-compatible APIs. You can also choose from commercially available solutions or use Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform to manage your infrastructure.
What is the limit for the volume of data that can be stored on Object Storage?
Virtually, there is no limit. In other words, OVHcloud manages the service so that there is always space available.
How do I choose between the three Object Storage solutions?
High-Performance Object Storage: Best for workloads that demand low latency and high throughput.

What is Object Storage?
Object Storage is an online storage service accessible via API. It provides users with an unlimited amount of space to store data and is managed by the cloud provider. All types of data can be stored in an Object Storage.
How does Object Storage work?
Object Storage works in a cluster with a large number of storage servers sharing algorithms to help ensure data resilience. The service places and indexes data depending on which spaces are available. A cluster can be expanded at any time.
What’s the difference between file systems and Object Storage?
The two most important differences are that Object Storage is only used for static data and offers unlimited storage space.
What’s the difference between Object Storage and Block Storage?
The main differences between Object Storage and Block Storage are the access modes and volume limitations. Block Storage provides storage spaces that are sized as required and linked to an instance. These spaces are managed by the instance’s operating system. Object Storage provides unlimited space that is managed directly by your application.

1 Customers are eligible to receive up to $300.00 (USD) in Public Cloud credits ("Public Cloud Credits") when creating their first Public Cloud infrastructure project and purchasing their first Managed Databases service with OVHcloud US. Customers will receive $200.00 (USD) in Public Cloud Credits when creating their first Public Cloud infrastructure project. An additional $100.00 (USD) in Public Cloud Credits will be applied when customers purchase their first Managed Databases service for use on Public Cloud. Offer applies only to Public Cloud services purchased from OVHcloud datacenters in the United States. Offer available only to customers who, at the time when the Public Cloud Credits are applied, are not purchasing Public Cloud services from OVHcloud and who purchase at least $0.99 (USD) of Public Cloud services from OVHcloud. No code is required. The Public Cloud Credits will be added to eligible accounts within 30 days of OVHcloud’s receipt of the $0.99 for a customer’s purchase of Public Cloud services. The Public Cloud Credits are valid for 90 days from the day the credit has been applied. The time of order placement shall be determined by OVHcloud’s time of registering the corresponding order. Offer is subject to availability. The Public Cloud Credits will automatically be applied to a customer’s next bill(s) up to a maximum amount of $300.00. Any unused portion of the Public Cloud Credits will expire. The Public Cloud Credits cannot be exchanged or refunded for cash or other credits, and may not be transferred. Once the Public Cloud Credits are exhausted or expired, the customer’s account will be debited in accordance with OVHcloud’s billing guide. Void where prohibited.
