Notice and Removal of Nonconsensual Intimate Visual Depictions

The TAKE IT DOWN Act prohibits the online publication of nonconsensual intimate visual depictions of identifiable adults and minors. The US federal law applies to both authentic photos and videos and digital forgeries – any photo or video created using software, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or other computer-generated or technological means.

If you wish to report and request removal of nonconsensual intimate visual depictions that were published online without your consent, please submit a removal request to takeitdownact@us.ovhcloud.com. Alternatively, an authorized person may submit a removal request on your behalf.

Per the TAKE IT DOWN Act, your removal request must include all the following elements:

  1. Identification of, or information sufficient for OVHcloud to locate, the nonconsensual intimate visual depiction(s), such as a specific URL for each instance of publication;
  2. A brief statement that you (or your authorized representative) have a good faith belief that any intimate visual depiction(s) identified in the removal request is not consensual, including any relevant information for OVHcloud to determine the intimate visual depiction was published without your consent;
  3. Your contact information (or that of your authorized representative) so that OVHcloud may contact you regarding your removal request; and
  4. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of your authorized representative).

Though it is our policy to expeditiously process all valid requests to remove nonconsensual intimate visual depictions, without all the information listed above, we will not be able to do so. We will let you know if your removal request does not contain all required elements.

Please note, in most instances, OVHcloud does not have access to particular content hosted by OVHcloud customers. Thus, upon receipt of a valid removal request, OVHcloud will forward your full request to the appropriate OVHcloud customer and require a timely and adequate response.
